PAL Summer Camp has been extended! We see you parents, stressing with all these last minute school changes. We are here to make your life a little easier.
We are able to offer 6 individual day camps at $25 a day. Please choose as many days as you’d like by adding them to your cart. They are all individually marked to allow you the flexibility to choose dates depending on your child’s staggered start days.
Camp will run from 9-12pm. The camp is for children aged 4-6 years old.
We are constantly monitoring the current situation with Covid-19 and implementing best practices. As of right now, camp will be limited to a small group of under 10. Physical distancing will be encouraged as much as possible through physically spaced out activities, not sharing supplies and strategically planning games for both safety and fun! Our plans may change, depending on the course of the pandemic and new announcements made by the province. If there are any significant changes you will be notified via email. We appreciate your flexibility as we navigate our way through this unpredictable time!
Campers will enjoy both our space at Play-A-Latte and private outdoor play space across the street at Chicopee Tube Park. Campers will spend a significant amount of time outside to encourage safe play, weather depending. Hourly hand washing or use of sanitizer will take place including upon arrival to camp.
Some examples of activities will include: daily art, STEAM based activities as well as games such as red light/green light, paper airplane contests, obstacle courses, wooden projects, and much more. Activities will be geared towards campers interests.
Drop off and pick up will be at the front door to encourage social distancing. Campers are asked to come with sunscreen on, wearing a hat, as well as socks and shoes. Campers will be provided with their own labelled, disposable water bottle on a daily basis. We ask that no other items be brought with them to camp. (There May be exceptions for medications, etc) A healthy snack will be provided mid- way through camp, and prepared in our cafe kitchen. Each child will receive their own serving and food will not be shared.
Parents are asked to screen their children every morning for signs of Illness and keep them at home if they have any symptoms of Covid-19. Campers temperatures will be taken upon arrival.
Masks are not mandatory for campers, but are welcomed if you wish for your child to practice. Our staff will wear a mask when indoors and whenever physical distancing cannot be maintained.
Prior to the first day of camp, you will receive an email asking you to fill out our camper information form. This is vital information for us and includes emergency contacts, medical considerations, etc. Please ensure this form is returned promptly so we can prepare for a great week with your child(ren.)
Our Cafe will be open for pickups during morning camp. Customers and campers will not be using the same space and will be kept separate at all times. You are more than welcome to order a drink during drop off or pick up!
