There is no question that teaching your baby American Sign Language has countless benefits! Babies are better able to communicate with their caregivers and experience much lower levels of frustration. From birth, babies are able to comprehend the signs and are developmentally able to sign back by the age of 8-11 months typically. Research has shown that babies who learn and use sign language have a larger vocabulary by the time they do speak and tend to speak sooner as well. Signing with your baby helps to build attachment and assists caregivers in being able to better meet the baby's needs. WeeHands classes allow you to have dedicated time to learn and practice signing with your little ones and give you the opportunity to develop relationships with like-minded families.
